34 Weeks and Counting!

Not mine
Not mine

I was super busy last week that I wasn’t able to share my progress with you all. But I am back! I went to the OB last week and everything seems good. The baby is healthy and so far all is well. I go back next week and after that he will start seeing me every week. Eeek! The baby is 6 weeks away or less!

And now for the update…

This information has been provided by Baby Center

  • Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (about the size of a Week34Cantaloupe_424x302cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she’s born — are filling her out, making her rounder.
  • Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you’ve been nervous about preterm labor, you’ll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
  • Fat: Your baby’s layers of fat are filling out. She’ll need them to regulate her body temperature once she’s born.
  • Lungs: Your baby’s lungs are well developed now. About 99 percent of babies born at this stage can survive outside the womb, and most have no major long-term problems.

I can definitely say that my baby will soon be here! And it’s good to know that the little one will be okay if born between 34 and 37 weeks but let’s aim for at least 38 or 39 lol.

And now for the tummy update!
