Just remember, 15-20 minutes a day is more than enough time to work on any of these activities.

1. School Zone – Cut & Paste Skills kindergarten Activity Workbook – Ages 3 to 5

Did you know that kindergarteners are expected to have some scissor skills before entering kindergarten?

Which is even more reason to have them practice this summer.

This kindergarten activity workbook includes a variety of animals, patterns and shapes to cut out and a few additional activities as well.

Give your soon-to-be kindergartners a head start and have them strengthen their hand muscles, develop fine motor control and coordination skills while they are at it.

Let the cutting practice begin!

2. Wipe Clean: Early Learning Activity Book

This is one of our favorite go-to write on wipe kindergarten workbooks at home because it is reusable. But that’s not reason I am recommending it.

With over 50 practicing pages, this early learning workbook has plenty of writing practice, fun activities like connect the dots and fill-in the blank activities for your kindergarten.

Best of all, it provides opportunity for repetition without it feeling boring-which is a great way to make learning fun.

Just don’t tell your kindergarten that.

3. My First Book of Pencil Control : Practice Pattern Writing

A kindergarten activity book that will help children practice their fine motor skills with fun activities revolving around zigzags, stripes and dots.

It also encourages hand strength, while building coordination in the wrist and development of penmanship skills.

Use these summer months to instill good writing habits in your children.

Want to make it fun? Have them trace with highlighters or smelly markers!

4. Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades Pre-K & K

Ready for school success?

Summer Brain Quest is designed to keep kids engaged all summer with activities focusing on ABCs, phonics, vocabulary, counting, shapes, patterns, map skills, seasons, and more.

Fun illustrations included!

Does your soon-to-be kindergarten thrive on incentives? Summer Brain Quest lets kids track their progress on a map with stickers.

5. Dot To Dot Books For Kids Ages 4-8: 101 Fun Connect The Dots Books for Kids

Make summer learning fun with this activity book for kindergarteners. Dot-to-dot provides practice for numeric recognition and spatial organization, both of which are skills that kids need to master before they start kindergarten.

It includes a variety of themes and 3 different levels and it’s perfect for beginners.

Does your child like a challenge? This activity book includes a bonus with more difficult puzzles as well.

Helping prepare your child before they start kindergarten is a great way to make the upcoming school year fun! Which one of these kindergarten activity workbooks would your kindergarten enjoy? Let me know in the comments below!
