It’s been a while since the last time we attended a food event, so when we found out that the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival was going to happen, we couldn’t help ourselves but to go. Let me tell you, it was great! Being out and about and just enjoying ourselves was a definite treat. With everything that has been happening in the world recently it was nice to just enjoy, so before you and your family are ready to go, this is what you need to know.
Festival Pricing, Dates and Hours of Operation
Knotts offers different price packages, which is great because you’re able to purchase the one that satisfies your festival needs the most. You also have to purchase them ahead of time for the selected date. The festival itself takes place March 5th to April 2nd, everyday from Noon to 9PM.
- Regular tasting cards (ages 12+) are priced at $45 (plus tax)
- Junior tasting cards (ages 3-11) are $20 (plus tax)
Knotts went all out when it came to food variety. There were many booths offering different items and the portions were decent! I really was not expecting big portions, but Knott’s went above and beyond when it came to this.
A strategy my sister and I had was to go through the tasting card list and see what caught our eye and shared the meals. This was a great way for us to try as many items as possible. Let’s just say, we went all out!
Some of our favorites were:
- Mac and Cheese Bites over tater tots
- Apple and Chicken sausage with boysenberry mustard
- Elote with Boysenberry mayo, cotija cheese, butter
- Thai Curry, veggies, and spicy noodle bowl
- Boysenberry bread pudding
- Popcorn with a boysenberry butter
- Boysenberry shrimp and grits
- Boysenberry queso dip with tortilla chips
This is not even the full list!
Knotts did a great job during their Boysenberry festival keeping everyone safe. They had hand sanitizing stations everywhere. Plenty of sitting at reasonable distances and there were ushers walking around with mask reminders.
They were not fooling around.
And I appreciate it.
I’ll be honest with you, it was nice to walk around and look forward to when we will be enjoying the theme parks once again for what they are. But for now, I am glad that Noah and Livi were able to enjoy themselves and have a little bit of normality in their lives. Will you be attending Knott’s Boysenberry Festival? If you did, what was your favorite meal or memory? I would love to know!
