Wear comfortable clothes when visiting the Legoland California Resort
Legoland is located in Carlsbad, a coastal area in northern San Diego, so the weather is a bit cooler in the mornings and evenings. Make sure you check the weather in advance and pack accordingly!

Parking at Legoland California
Want a good spot? Come early!
Generally speaking, the earlier you come to the Legoland California Resort, the better your parking spot will be.
Parking pricing is as follow:
Cars and motorcycles – $25
Preferred parking – $35
Motorhomes, oversized vans and vehicles with trailers: $35
Bus parking – Free
**Re-entry is available for same day visit
Expect to wait just a little.
Security checks are necessary and it can’t be avoided. Going through the security line is a mere inconvenience, but don’t let it scare you! There should only take about 15 minutes of your time to get into Legoland California.
Bring your own water and snacks
Enjoy the park knowing you stayed on budget!
Bringing your own water bottle is a great way to save money while you’re in the park. Bringing snacks for the kids is also a good idea, as this will ensure that family members only need to purchase food items they want, like Granny’s apple fries and ice cream!
Check height requirements
There’s something for everyone! Legoland California Resort offers family rides that are perfect for every family member. Knowing where to go and with who ahead of time will just make life easier.

We’ve all been there! Kids don’t meet the height requirement for some family rides, but you still want to go on the ride. Let the operator know ahead of time and they will accommodate you.
Water zone ahead. Extra clothes needed
Even if your trip doesn’t include the water park (which is enjoyable!), Legoland Resort has a few splash and play areas. And that usually means having a change of clothes is a must.

Yes. It is not huge but it is worth it. It’s interactive and surprisingly it has a few fun things for kids to do. It’s a fun way to end your day. Or your hotel stay.
